"A haunting mix of post-punk, no-wave, and art rock, with songs both atmospheric and claustrophobic." - Post-Trash

MY HEART, AN INVERTED FLAME (debut live performance!) Art damaged, cinematic synth-doom from San Francisco. A sprawling expanse of ephemeral, ethereal heaviness and mathy, motorik crush. Debut double LP, "Plague Notes, Unnamed, Unknown, A Finger Dragged Through Dust”, was released in 2020. Members of Common Eider King Eider, A Minor Forest, I Am Spoonbender, Never Knows.
“It's contained yet immense, it's Stars of the Lid with a bad fucking attitude" Neil Kulkarni, The Wire

THE ACHARIS

Since forming in 2015 in Oakland, CA, The Acharis have been a creative outlet for life partners Shaun Wagner and Mila Puccini. After being in the Bay Area music scene for years in different bands, they decided to create something all their own. Trading off vocals and songwriting duties, they performed and recoded every instrument themselves on their 2017 debut ‘Lost in the Vortex.’ Their upcoming follow up album ‘Blue Sky / Grey Heaven’ finds them joining forces with the legendary producer John Fryer (Cocteau Twins , Depeche Mode, This Mortal Coil). The darker, more produced sound, along with their newly recruited full live band, deliver a spectrum of moods, ranging from fragile noise pop to fuzzed out shoegaze.

ZUM Established first as a Bay Area-based fanzine, then a record label, ZUM has been a continual resource for music fans throughout the past few decades. Focusing on our record label since 1998, we've got over 30 releases from artists around the world.
