Twisted Teens at Make-Out Room SF w/ Forty Drop Few, DJ Foodcourt

2nd Bay Area show for TWISTED TEENS added by popular demand, don’t snooze!

6pm doors. $20 adv/door. 21+

Twisted Teens is a band from New Orleans. Most musicians make you choose between rock and roll; Twisted Teens would never do that. Their political platform is religious psychosis; their music opens a door to a new universe by shutting all other doors to all other possible universes. “Fans of Raw Power-era Stooges, Eastern mysticism, or the punk-to-country pipeline should tuck in” (Atwood Magazine). “Here to put some steel wool type hair on your chest. Gritty, toothy lofi punk with some stoink on it” (Sims Hardin).

Forty Drop Few (Portland)

The Forty Drop Few is a Portland trio that play popular music of the early 1900s. They perform in various styles from the era as a string band and are influenced by nothing other than the old 78 records that they love so well. Their main influences include New Orleans jazz, southwestern fiddle music, classic banjo rags, black string band music, hillbilly harmonies and unique vocals. The trio consists of Ethan Francis, Candra Edwards and Elliot Kennedy who all currently reside in Portland, Oregon. The couple, also known as "Stone and Sue", have been playing music together for a decade and met Kennedy who joined them 5 years ago. The three are inseparable and spend all of their time picking apart old tunes, listening to 78s, throwing shows in Portland and traveling around the country together.
