White Noise Radio Theatre is, was, and shall ever be Les Milton,Beth Lisick and Stephen Brophy, with occasional help from Colin Mahanand a couple other people whose names I've forgotten how to spell. Theystarted out as two creatively unfulfilled geeks with a 4-track andbecame an overnight sensation, or more of a mild tingling with somediscomfort, and just as quickly faded into obscurity. In their heyday,they produced 5 CDs of original audio sketch comedy, when no one elsewas doing it and even fewer people cared. In the tradition of FiresignTheater, but without the chicks and fame, they tried everything theycould to sell out, to no avail. After all, they lived in San Francisco.In desperation, they forced their way onstage, and dragged a localcelebrity kicking and screaming along with them, because what's twoguys without a girl? They performed many a show in various a placeuntil it became apparent that they were too damn old and should justget the hell out of the way, but not before one of them could strikeout and try his hand at really selling out.
